Roz, of Roz Wound Up create Fake Journal Month. Basically you take the month of April and create a fake journal around it. You create them in real time as a character and post the images to the internet daily.
HOLY SHIT. This idea is awesome to me. I'm not sure I can participate but the idea of it is amazing. 30 days of fake journaling. The finished product if done well could make a great graphic novel. I looked at some of the links on her blog here and all I can say is wow!
Head over, take a look and maybe we should participate, you and me? (Maybe we should do a workshop on Artjournaling.NIng for it?)
The colors in this are so vibrant. I love the attention to detail in the patterning.
At Artjournaling.Ning.com I started a workshop called the March Art Journal Challenge. The idea behind it is to give myself and others a kick in the seat of the pants to crack open their art journals every day in the month of March and do a little something. The goal is not to finish a spread or page but to add something to the journal everyday.
Each day will feature a prompt of some sort. The prompt could be a single word, quotes, a technique, material, image or link to a blog.
The prompts will be hosted on the ning group here. It's a free workshop so head on over and join the challenge!
You can post pics in the group for everyone to see and their will be discussions about the challenge in the group. I've picked out a bunch of fun, weird, quirky and unusual prompts for this challenge, this will not be your run of the mill list of prompts!
Use the "tweet this" link below to get the word out to more people, the more people who participate the more fun it will be! Lets see if we can get 100 people signed up for the challenge!
this was done at least partially by the artist in photoshop but it would have been easy to do manually as well. great stuff
Fun drawing. Great crosshatching.
I like the lines and color of this image. I also like who the text is written and sort of pasted on top of the image.
Ink wash is great stuff and this uses it well, love it.
Weird but neat, Creepy but I can't look away.
