Enrollment is now closed.
Today (January 23, 2010) is the last day for registration into my Make Your Own Journal workshop for beginners. I will run it again in March/April but the cost will be $25 rather than $15.
I'm opening registration for the first in a series of bookbinding classes. It's called Make Your Own Journal: For Beginners to Bookbinding. It's a 3 week, 8 video class that will teach you 3 different styles of single signature books. We'll also discuss cover materials and collage covers together that will be sturdy enough to stand up to whatever you throw at it. These will be soft but stiff covers.
If you are interested you can paypal the $15 course fee below:
fantastic illustration of the earth.
This page started out with paint in green and yellow smeared on the page with a credit card. The stamps came with the journal and are aptly of vegetables… I then glued in a photo of the 3 pills I’ve yet to take a copy of the bill for them, wrote in with a green sharpie.then added some gesso and ink with a q-tip. I scraped the inks with a piece of cardboard. I used my white jelly roll pen to write on the ink while it was still damp, so it would blend and smear a bit. The jelly roll did not want to write on the photo so I got out my deco art pen and sharpie pen to write on the photo. I also used the sharpie pen in 2 colors to add some details to the bill.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who creates elaborate doodles in staff meetings.

Hey all, I'm sorry for the recent influx of spam comments. I'm not sure how they are getting through the word verification, they must be real people… I don't plan on withholding comments for approval I'd rather leave things as they are currently and delete as they come up. Just don't encourage the spammers by clicking the links. I'm usually able to delete them first thing in the morning. But man, how annoying!
Tonight I'll be working on the PDF file for the class and this weekend I'll open up registration for the first running of my first bookbinding class. YAY! I'm still up in the air about the price and length of time. I'm thinking a month for the time and keeping it low priced in the $20 range. This is a building block class.
Anyway sorry about the recent spam commentary and just tossing some ideas out before I head to work for the day!
Fantastic embroidery by the creator of embloggery. Love it
