A great series of protraits in TinyMeat's moleskine. They are done with gel pens.
I love the hand carved art stamp used on this. It's a great rendition of a coffee cup.
RobenMArie on youtube creates a journal page that is super cool, lots of layers, colors an djournaling and uses my most hated image:the butterfly without being hooky or cheesy. And she’s using a cool spray on ink that I need to find out more about… Anyway watch this great video.
I love this unique take on a travel journal. I particularly love Andreajoseph24's work on flickr. Its fantastic.
I first discovered this flickr artist through moleskinerie and fell in love with her work immediately. She doesn't upload as often as she once did but it's well worth the wait her stuff is great, with just a hint of creepiness.
This image was created by putting downa layer of gesso, pasting in some collage and then acrylic paint over the top of that. The paint was textured to create the circular pattern. I then cut an image out of a catalog I manipulated the arms a bit to give her a zombie like look. I glued her down and applied a layer of thinned gesso. Over the top of that I addded colored pencils in zombie shades. I stamped on the workds and hand wrote then stuff on the bottom. with a sharpie which I spritzed with alcohol to soften and blur. I Then watered down some red paint and used a liner brush to pain in some blood and spatter it across the page.
I really enjoyed making this page. Partially becuase I hate fashion images and catalogs but also I got to splatter paint across a page a la Dexter.
Thisis an interesting concept. Gut art journaling. I’m assuming it has to do with some sort of automatic painting and drawing. Scribbles and getting that out on paper. These journal is very interesting and cool. Follow the link in the images notes on youtube to go to the GUT Journal’s instructor for more info and neat images.
I enjoy the use of letters, color and images. This could be a fun way to art journal in layers.
